About NVIDIA GTC conferences

NVIDIA GTC is one of the world’s leading conference series dedicated to artificial intelligence, accelerated computing, robotics, and autonomous systems. Bringing together researchers, technology innovators, industry leaders, and developers, the event provides a unique opportunity to explore the latest breakthroughs in AI, physical AI, digital twins, and intelligent machines. This October, NVIDIA GTC comes to Berlin, offering an exciting platform for the European AI and robotics community to connect and collaborate.

Robot Identification Module (RIM)

CyberRobotix will be attending NVIDIA GTC 2026 in Berlin, where we look forward to discussing the future of secure and trustworthy autonomous robotic systems. Alongside our CyberRobotix cybersecurity testbeds, we will introduce our vision for the Robot Identification Module (RIM), a novel concept designed to provide a hardware-based foundation for trusted robot identification, integrity protection, and secure communication.

Inspired by the Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) used in mobile telecommunications and Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) in computers, RIMs would provide autonomous robots and self-driving vehicles with unique, cryptographically protected digital identities. These hardware security modules could serve as a root of trust for authentication, secure communication, and integrity verification, while also enabling future certification and licensing schemes. Just as vehicles today require registration and authorization to operate on public roads, autonomous robots of the future may need verifiable digital identities and permissions defining where, how, and for what purposes they can operate.

The RIM concept opens exciting opportunities for robot manufacturers, telecommunications operators, cybersecurity providers, and regulatory authorities. By establishing a trusted identity infrastructure for autonomous machines, RIMs could become an essential building block of the emerging AI-driven economy, supporting secure interactions between robots, humans, and digital services.
